Job Objective
  Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic parts.

Qualifications
  1. Associates  Degree and 5+ years related experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent experience  may be considered.

2. Specialized  training in metalworking or manufacturing preferred.  Lathe specific expertise is preferred. 

3. Working knowledge and experience utilizing HAAS and Okuma CNC Machine controls for lathes and mills preferred.

4. Experience and Training in CAD/CAM software.  Master-Cam  with post-processing lathe and mill CNC programs preferred.

5. Demonstrated ability to apply design principles  while utilizing a keen attention to detail.

6. Proven ability to work with mathematical  concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

7. Demonstrated  ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and  supervisors.


Job Duties
  1. Fabricate tools, fixtures and components to support  engineering and manufacturing in the building of precision molds.

2. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals,  specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

3. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.

4. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.

5. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

6. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

7. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

8. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

9. Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.

10. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.

11. Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms,  machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.

12. Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.

13. Confers with engineers, production personnel,  programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

14. Provides training and support to all manufacturing employees.


Schedule
Monday-Thursday,  Evening Shift 4:30pm - 3:00am.  At times, various shifts may be required based on the needs of the organization.

Job Objective
   Operates machine tools such as lathes, drills, milling machines, boring machines, and grinders, to cut, shape, and fit parts to fabricate various parts of a firearm.

    2.   Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.

   3.   Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder (i.e. chuck, collet, or tool post).

    4.   Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.

   5.   Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.

    6.   Starts machine, directs coolant or cutting oil flow, and feeds tool to work piece or vice versa, and engages feed.

    7.   Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications.

   8.   Operates bench grinder to sharpen tools.

   9.   Operates machines and equipment other than machine tools.

    10.  Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.  Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure standards are met.

    11.   Ensure that parts are machined to specifications and meets quality guidelines.

    12.  Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data.

   13.  Record product and processing data and information on specified forms.

Schedule
   Current schedule is Monday – Thursday, 10 hour shifts ( Evening shift 4:30pm - 3:00am ),  Friday -Sunday 12 hour shifts (Weekend shift 5:00am - 5:30pm), however shift schedules may vary and require flexibility as demanded by business requirements.

   Work Environment
   Primarily works indoors in workshops equipped with grinders, drill presses, lathes, drills, and various metalworking tools.  Requires high attention to detail or deadlines.  While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Job Objective
 Installs,  maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and facilities functions.


Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training in metalworking or woodworking preferred. Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician is desirable.

2. Basic mechanical, electrical, metalworking and woodworking skills required.

3. Basic computer skills required

4. Ability to utilize power and hand tools, including, but not limited to: drills, lathes, grinders, mills, saws, welding or other metalworking or woodworking tools.

5. Ability to utilize electrical testing instruments such as Multi-meters, voltage testers,

6. Ability to complete tasks in a precise and accurate manner. Example: using precision tools such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, machinist levels, belt tension gages, torque wrenches, etc.

7. Troubleshooting ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make data driven decisions.

8. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written with staff, management, vendors, and customers.


Job Duties
1. Completes necessary electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance repairs and building of machinery and equipment. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.

2. Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

3. Under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, maintains time and production records to ensure maintenance stays on schedule.

4. Completes preventive maintenance checks and services for machinery and facilities. Shares results with appropriate individuals to ensure appropriate corrective actions take place.

5. Utilizes “Manager Plus” software as a maintenance management program for creating and completing work orders as well as consuming spare parts from inventory.

6. Familiarize yourself with the equipment’s “normal” operating conditions in order to recognize problems as they arise. Example: temperatures, vibrations, sounds, gage readings etc.

7. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

8. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

9. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

10. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

11. Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

12. Completes skill specific training courses as they are provided
